The only eyeliner that I use now is a cream eyeliner, applied with a brush, brand is Smashbox. It is a great product, easy to apply and lasts until you remove.

I use a pencil, Wet N' Wild Black! But if you want something else, you can always try cake eyeliner. They have it at Sally's Beauty Supply for cheap.

I've had a hard time finding an eyeliner that stays put on the corners of my eyes. My eyes often tear from allergies and then my eyeliner runs. Any good ideas?

I use a pencil eyeliner with a smudger, then I softly go over that with a waterproof liquid - that should help the tears...

Good Luck

Hey Jenna ~ a perfect topic for me....

I've tried every kind of liquid eyeliner and non-liquid eyeliner....Chanel, Estee Lauder, Revlon, Clinique..you name it I've used it...the ONLY eyeliner period, liq or non-liq, I have found to work wonderfully is Maybelline liquid eyeliner....It's only about $6 and it's in a blue tube with a gold lid...

Good Luck !!

PS ~ I have bad allergies, eyes water, you get the picture, right? and it stays really well.

I just received an eyeliner I ordered from Aloette Cosmetics. It's a pencil. I tear up from allergies as well and it stays on all day. I even wake up with it in the morning if I'm naughty and don't wash my face before bed.

Prestige makes some wonderful(and cheap!) pencils, both the kohls and waterproof pencil are, to me, as good or better than MAC.

But the best product for keeping your eyeliner on, whichever one you use, is Benefit's She-lac. It is a liquid product that you can use over eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipstick, whatever. It is pricey ($24) but a bottle lasts forever, and it is worth it to me not to have to cleanup smudgies and reapply constantly. It comes with a variety of brushes, so you don't have to use your good brushes to apply it. I will definitley be getting this again!

Hey ConnieJr
What Maybelline eyeliner? I have one, also Maybelline liquid eyeliner in black, there isn't a gold lid though - it is supposedly waterproof but everytime I am outside and it is bright the waterproof is nowhere in sight and I have smudging all over the place. I am not challenging your opinion just hopeful there is a different variety because I hate looking freaky after my liquid goes awry.

Yes, sad to say, Maybelline used to streak down my cheeks for me too.

The best eyeliner out there is by Almay. (Amazing Lasting 16 Hour Eye Pencil). It glides on and never smudges. It really last all day. Precise Black is the color I use to line my eyes, but Taupe is what I use for my eyebrows. It's a true winner. If you're looking for a great liquid liner, try Almay's. It's just as good as their pencils. (Very long lasting).

VegasGirl, are those Sally's Beauty Supply cake eyeliners like the old fashioned cake eyeliners (these you could touch and no color would be on your finger, they'd come with a brush sort of like a lip brush that you'd wet and use to pick up color and apply)? All the cake eyeliners I've tried lately are basically just a powder eyeshadow, or else a cream... I really, really miss the old cake eyeliners! I used to use one by maybelline (or maybe it was Max Factor?), it was a holy grail for me and between that being discontinued and my favorite foundation (that actually covered flaws and yet blended so well you could use it just in spots) being discontinued and not being able to get an eyelash dye any more I've pretty much given up on makeup, ugh! I'd love to find a replacement.

I don't know if they're like the "old" cake liners, but BeneFit has a line of cake eyeliners that have worked pretty well for me.

I use Prestige. It is cheap but it is hard to find (in Arlington, Texas). I use Lancome for all other makeup but continue to use Prestige lip and eye liners because they are the best. Long lasting but gentle and kinda creamy (not hard to get a smooth line).

my all time fav. are MAC eye kohls. There are a TON of colors to choose from. They don't pull on your eye, and they last all day. They're easy to blend to make all kinds of eye "designs."

I wear contact lenses and my eyes water now and then. That is why my favorite eyeliner is Bobbe Brown's gel eyeliner. I bought the brush that goes with it, and it stays on till I take it off! And it gives a nicer, softerline than liquid eyeliner. Even close up, it is not harsh looking. Good luck!

Dear Legalwmn, can you find She-lac at the beauty supply store? That sounds like a great product. Mary Jo

I use Revlon Colorstay pencil eyeliner, and it's the one I keep going back to. It stays where I put it, and really lasts.

I use maybelline smoked kohl eye liner, it seems to work perfectly, easy to apply, stays on and removes quite nicely.
