Just curious. I use a lot of makeup, but I've become sort of an expert on application, so I don't get that "done up" look. * Max Factor Panstick in Nude Ivory And Sometimes... *MAC eyeshadow in Vapor What products do you use? ------------------ IP: Logged |

I don't use much makeup normally, but I've mainly got Maybelline products in my makeup bag... think it started out random, all of a sudden I noticed that Maybelline was the products I always seemed to end up with when I bought something new hehe.*Maybelline Diamond lipstick (3 different ones) *Sephora black eyeshadow (for those rare occasions when I do wear eye shadow). yah how much you spend doesn't really matter... your more likely to find better products in higher end lines because they tend to use better (hench more expensive) ingredents... BUT I recently bought the Lancome Apicils Mascara ($20 something a tube) because it was recommended by a friend but it just didn't come close to my L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara (only $8 a tube)... it's all about trying things out and playing with make-up! Stuff i always use: 1. Maybelline Full 'N Soft waterproof mascara in dark brown 2. L'Oreal Active Daily Moisture lotion SPF 15 3. Maybelline Shine Free loose powder in Light 4. Neutrogena Instant Lip remedy or Mountain Ocean Lip Trip SPF 15 Stuff i use sometimes/on special occasions 1. Maybelline Eyeliner in black (has the little foam smudger on the other end) 2. Neutrogena Healthy Skin liguid makeup in Blushing Ivory 3. Rimmel SpecialEyes eyeshadow in 'Planet Sparkle' 4. Maybelline Blush in Raspberry whisper 5. Maybelline Expert Eyes eyeliner/eyebrow pencil in light brown (too hard as an eyeliner but just right for a subtle eyebrow pencil) 6 N.Y.C Lip Liner pencils (nameless, and incredibly cheap, perfect colors and texture) 7. My homemade lip gloss using about 10+ old lipsticks and lipglosses, melted into a tiny glass clinique pot (i think it was a sample of an eye creme). I myself never really realized how many maybelline products i use... IP: Logged |

I recently 'cleaned house' and threw out all the makeup I had except for my bare escentuals line: foundation in medium 3, mineral veil, a few different colored blushes, various colored eye shadows. I also used Maybelline Great Lash, and lipsticks/gloss by Bert Bee's which I absolutely love. I did keep my Clinique lipstick (superberry) which I've been wearing for years now and love the color. Hi everybody!! My name is Erika and I am brand-new to Healthboards.com. I love makeup!! My favorite department store brand is MAC and my favorite non-department store brand is L'Oreal. Here's what's in my makeup bag: MAC Select SPF 15 Foundation AND I HAVE SAVED THE BEST FOR LAST... L'Oreal's NEW Double Extend Mascara (it is the best mascara I have ever tried and I've tried many. Lancome makes Definicil's mascara and a lash extender called Cil's Booster, which is the best mascara/lash extender that you can buy in a department store but it is about $26 and about $12. But they are #1 in the market. Well, Lancome owns L'Oreal and what they have now down is basically put out a knock-off version of Definicil's and Cil's Booster all in one tube for $10. And if you want long, long, long lashes, this is it. It extends my lashed to the point that when I blink my lashes touch my eyelid. Oh, it's good stuff)!!

I have TONS of makeup products but there are only a few I love and wear more often than the others. Almay Kinetin skin smoothing foundation in either sand beige or neutral-perfect because it contains sunscreen and it don't cause me sensitivity. Revlon colorstay concealer in sand beige. Almay Luxury finish loose powder. Physician's Formula canyon classics shimmer quad-silky smooth everyday neutrals. Revlon colorstay liner in black/brown or Styli Style line and seal in brown. Paula's Select e/s in charcoal brown for crease and wear it wet to line eyes. Paula's Select blush in hint of tan. Cover Girl superthick lash mascara in black OR Max Factor Stretch and Separate-I have not found a mascara better than these. L'Oreal glam shine lip plumping gloss in diva and starlet. Clinique long last soft shine lipstick in tenderheart. IP: Logged |

Ok well I wear a lot of makeup, and all different brands, but heres what I use, and why 1)Clean and Clear oil free dual action moisturizer-It makes my skin really soft, and helps keep away blemishes 2)UltimaII long wearing foundation in bone- Gives good coverage and I dont think it looks too "cakey" 3)Rimmel- stay matte pressed powder in peach glow- it gives a matte finish as well as good coverage 4)NYC eyeliner pencil in black- Its cheap, goes on smooth, I have found the cheapest eyeliners to be the best 5) I use Rimmel metallic cream eye shadow in 014 Hoxton-Its a cream eyeshadow and goes on smooth and its very shiny and glamourous 6)Cover girl- eye enhancers eyeshadow in disco ball- its very shiny as well 7) Gemey Maybelline- Cil expansion mascara in very black- at first I didnt like this, but now I do. It makes my lashes very long and seperates them well 8) I also use glitter. I dont remember where I got it from, but its regular body glitter ( not lotion) and I put it on my eyes. My boyfriend loves it because it makes my eyes sparkle, literally! Just be careful not to get it IN your eyes! I use a white color glitter. My bright blue eyes are my best feature (so Ive been told) so I like to play them up a lot and bring the most attention to them. If people are paying attention to my eyes, they will pay less attention to my "other areas" that I dont like so much! :-) ------------------ § Mary § IP: Logged |

Hey this was a good post. I love Revlons cream eyeshadows because I am a horrible blender and they work great. Almay mascara (only one that doesn't irritate me) and I super love L-Oreal's Visible Lift Extra Coverage foundation as I have acne scars but with that stuff you'd never know it. Any Marcelle or Physician's Formula liner as they will not make my eye area itch and Maybelline True Illusions powder to finish it off. After many years and a lot of expensive and inexpensive try-outs, this is my regimen and I love it. Tho I have always been curious about the MAC line, we don't have it here and it would require an hour drive to check it out. IP: Logged |

I have tons of makeup but I don't wear it all regularly. My "everyday" makeup consists of... -Maybelline Cool Effect Cream Eyeshadow in "Blizzard Brown" Heh, a lot of "sometimes"..I don't wear that much unless I feel like being more dramatic. IP: Logged |

Halfpint- So the L'oreal foundation works really well? I have scars, too. I might check that out. I use a Max Factor Panstick, but I feel it's too heavy. Oh, and about MAC products: go to www.maccosmetics.com ------------------ IP: Logged |

Hi, I'm Robin, and I'm new to posting on this board. I've used a lot of different makeup brands over the years (both expensive & inexpensive), and I agree that for most products, the higher priced stuff is not always better than the inexpensive brands. Anyway, here's what's in my makeup bag for everday: (I have dark brown/reddish hair and blue eyes & a fair complexion with yellow undertones) * Sally Hansen Skin Equalizing Makeup(Color=03 Beach) * Clinique Blushwear Creme blush(Color=05 Blush Blush) * Clinique Brow Shaper (Color=01 Shaping Taupe) * L'Oreal Kohl Eyebrow Pencil (dark taupe) * Sally Hansen Lip Grip & Plumper (under lipstick) * Revlon ColorStay LipLiner (Color=Nude) * Mac Lipstick (a pale pink color which I put over the Revlon Nude Lipliner to make it a little darker) * Maybelline Sky High Curves mascara (soft black) * Bobbie Brown Sheer Finish Loose Powder(color=1 Pale Yellow) Has anyone else tried the Sally Hansen foundation makeup or the Maybelline Sky High Curves mascara??? If so, what do you think of it? ------------------ IP: Logged |

I have Bare Escentuals in fairly light with mineral veil (this stuff rules-you need to play around to figure out the best application method for you) Which I put a little of the powder on the brush and swirl over my face then dot on the powder with my pinkie in the zit/red spots, then cover the whole thing with mineral veil. Also, jane lengthening mascara (good and cheep) Prescriptives false eyelashes mascara (unreal-super long long full lashes!) Prescriptives eyeliner in jet black Bare Escentuals lip gloss in sheer cheery Revlon Lip Gloss in mauved Lacross eyelash curler Revlon wet dry shadow in gold Loreal Translucide sparkle (very tiny sparkle-so it is glimmery not trashy) powder in blushed for night (i use as shadow or mix a little with my lotion for on body use.)
