Hello-

I wasn't sure what board to put this on, so I chose this one. I've had severe back pain for as long as I can remember. I have arthritis, but recently, I've had to have spinal x-rays as well. My doctor was muttering something about possible spinal cancer...this, needless to say, frightens me. How would I know if I had it? Symptoms, etc? Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You'd know you had it because the doctor who did the
xrays would have told you.

I hate to tell you this but the Dr. doesnt always know what he is seeing or doing....Plus the cancer doesnt appear on an xray nessessarily. My mother was having severe back pain for over a yr and the dr couldnt find anything wrong in her xrays. He finally did a bone scan and discovered the cancer. she is not doing so well , could have turned out better maybe if he had done the bone scan first........dr.'s should listen to their pts more.!!

May GOD Bless you and keep you.
