Hello =) I'm 22, and I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in November of last year. I just had my second surgery. They removed the right ovary in the first one, and because of my age, tried to save as much of the left as they could in the last surgery, and just removed the abnormal growths. IP: Logged |

Hi, I was recently dx'd with a serous borderline tumor of low malignant potential. Although my drs say I have an excellent prognosis they didn't do staging at my surgery and now I'm having problems with my colon (my dr thinks I have now have colon cancer) I've requested a second opinion on my pathology as a result and hope I don't have any more cancer. The best website I found for Ovarian Cancer and especially for borderline tumors is the John Hopkins Ovarian Cancer website. There is also a great message board there with lots of support. One thing I've learned about serous borderline cancers is that there are two kinds, atypical proliferative and micropappilary - there is a specific message board dedicated to micropappilary ovarian cancer. John Hopkins is on the leading edge of research into borderline ovarian cancers and there is lots of info available to read. Good Luck. IP: Logged |
