Re the last post: You absolutely CANNOT have CLL with a normal CBC. However, that's not to say you're not susceptible to developing it in the future. My CLL was building for many years, with a couple of enlarged glands, before it showed up in my bloodwork as CLL. I'd suggest avoiding X-Rays, chemicals of any kind, including anything but totally organic make-up, and moving your clock-radio across the bedroom away from your head (electro-magnetic fields from things like radios are implicated in CLL), also don't use electric blankets or electrically heated water beds. Also go on an organic diet, exercise, and get to sleep by 10 or earlier (a must.......melatonin is created by the brain much more readily before midnight, and melatonin is a cancer-fighter). What are your symptoms, if any, that makes you think you could have CLL with a normal CBC?

I had an elevated white count and neutraphils with muscle/joint pain. My doctor thought it was an infection. By the time he did the bloodwork again to see if it was any of my organs, it came back normal. I still have the muscle/joint pain, though. Someone else told me you could definately have it with normal bloodwork, but I find that hard to believe. They said thier bloodwork was normal, but when they got further testing it showed up. She said it doesnt show up till a later stage. That scared me. My primary care doctor blew me off saying the counts would be off. What do you know?

For Colleenidol,
Sounds like you DON'T have CLL. With CLL, the lymphocyte count goes way up, NOT the neutrophils. I agree with your doctor, you had some sort of an infection. Stop stressing over it, put it behind you, and get on with your life. You do not have leukemia, in my book.
