Please advise me what to do.

My daughter had a tooth filled. The dentist was in two minds about filling it as the hole was small, but as she had not lost any baby teeth yet (she is almost 7) , decided it would be in her mouth for a few more years so filled it. Up until then there had been no problems. After being filled, it seemed to get very sensitive, then her gum was sore. I saw her gum was getting inflamed and next thing this giant lump appeared. The doctor put her on antibiotics and I saw a dentist the next day who said that the tooth would have to be removed as it was an abcess. She said the abcess needed to go before she could pull out the tooth. The abcess didn't disappear so back to a doctor who suggested another course of antibiotics. The lump just hasn't gone down in size. Saw another doctor who said it is a cyst and not an abcess as an abcess would respond to antibiotics. She said that an x-ray was needed and then the cyst would need to be drained. I am so confused and worried about this large lump in my child's mind. What can one do to get rid of the lump and should the tooth be extracted? What is the best way forward? Thanks Bron
