I have Epstein-Barr and Fibromyalgia, and my doctor put me on Zoloft at a low dosage to help with pain and migraines. Long story short, I am on my third doctor who is a DO. He is in practice with my former doctor (also a DO). I never had a problem with depression until going on the Zoloft. I was going monthly to the doctor, and each month I weighed in at 10-15 lbs heavier and was more depressed - and he repeatedly increased the Zoloft dosage - up to 250 mg!!!!! From what I am reading now, 200 is max dose. I reached the point I was a zombie, more or less - and was getting suicidal. Thank GOD I had the initiative to research Zoloft on the internet! About 2 months ago I started weaning myself off of it - and now am Zoloft free. I haven't taken a Zoloft in a week... I can deal with the nausea and flu-like symptoms, but the "jolts" - electrical charges in my head, jaws, neck, and spine - and vertigo-feeling are hell!!!!! It is horrible! My lips feel numb, sort of like I have gotten novacaine shots. Has anyone gone through this? How long does the withdrawal process last? I am a single mom with a 3 year old and it is just horrible right now. IP: Logged |

Hi, PaddyB~ I have been on antidepressants on and (mostly) off. I took zoloft for about 8 months, and can't remember any benefits from it. I stopped taking it cold turkey. From there, I went to serzone, and again, didn't notice any significant benefits. I do remember getting what you call the "jolts" while on serzone. I mentioned this to the dr. and she said she had'nt heard of that symptom before! They got to be bothersome, so I stopped taking it. But back to zoloft, there seems to be lots pf people that were on it, and experienced some terrible side effects, including severe depression. IP: Logged |

Thank you so much for replying! My doctor also claims to have no knowledge of the "jolts" - hmmm, wonder what's up with that. I didn't mention in my earlier post the reason I was going off the Zoloft - and it is for exactly what your reference was about the study. I got sooooo depressed and my doctor continued to increase the dosage...which made the depression worsen. I reached a point where I was suicidal - all I could do was sleep and I was just "here", existing. I lost my house and my child and I had to move in with my parents - and am now starting over...well, as soon as I can get through the withdrawals. I would appreciate any information you can add about the class action suit you mentioned :-) - it's time pharmaceutical companies are made to own up to their obligations. IP: Logged |

PaddyB, Truthfully, I don't know much about it, other than seeing some commercials on t.v. about it. Serzone is on that list, along with vioxx and a few other major drugs. Try entering what you're looking for in a good search engine, like google. For instance, I entered "zoloft lawsuit". IP: Logged |

When you say jolts , I feel the same i think . I can be sitting here and all of a sudden my eyes twitch . I take 200mg of Zoloft. It seems to help my depression but I sleep all the time. And I mean all the time. I'm 22 and I don't work, go to school, have friends, I just sleep. I would like to wean of it but am a bit nervous as the last time I stopped it I ended up on the locked unit of a mental institution for 3 weeks. I'd highly suggest weaning off anything you don't want to take any longer. I stopped taking Prozac cold turkey and withdrawled. IP: Logged |

What a releif to find this message board. Here I've sat all day trying to do research on Zoloft withdrawal, there really isn't much information out there. I've been on Zoloft for five years and, as with most everyone it seems, my doctor keeps inching my dosage up and up. I maxed out at 200 mg in September. I'm not quite sure what made me decide to get off but I think I'm just tired of being a slave to the stuff. Anyway, I did the tapering off as suggested, 150 mg for a week, 100 for a week, 50 for a week, 25 for a week and now nothing. I've been totally off for 5 days and I would totally agree that it's been total hell. Have you tried to explain the symptoms to people and they just look at you like you're crazy? I'm totally experiencing the jolts and stuff. Everyone keeps telling me to just go back on, but I'm refusing to do so. I figure if I can just hold off long enough they've got to go away. I just wanted to thank you for your post, it's nice to know that there's other people out there experiencing the same thing. If anyone out there has any idea how long this will last I would love to hear from you. IP: Logged |

I'm so glad to have found you all! I just quit Zoloft cold turkey after several years and have been feeling the strangest tremors! I was just recently fired after five years of loyal service which caused my insurance to expire. Without the job or the insurance, now seemed like a good time to come off of my "happy pill". But I can't take these dang vibrations that seem to be rampaging through my body!!! How long will this last!!! Help! IP: Logged |

hi everyone! I want to say thank you for the words of encouragement I received here - it has been a very long road, and FINALLY I have passed the withdrawals! I finally feel like my "old" self again - and it feels wonderful! A friend of mine made the comment to me last week that it was nice to see me smile - something I hadn't done in about a year! As bad as the withdrawals were, I would go through them again just to be back to normal...and that says a lot. There were days I didn't think I would make it; but my determination was so strong. When I would lie down, just blinking my eyes would send a jolt through my head - so I started taking benadryl - and that really helped a lot, so you may want to try that. Please, just keep determined to kick it and keep telling yourself that it will pass! There isn't a magic number of days, but it will pass, I promise you! IP: Logged |

Thank god there are posts like that last one to reassure me that the withdrawal *will* pass! Its so great to hear other people talk about the really weird things like numb lips that my friends just sort of nod and look confused when I complain about! I stopped the Zoloft 3 weeks ago, and I had tapered off my 50mg increments for weeks, so i have been surprised and concerned about the duration of severity of the withdrawal. Recently my biggest problem has been the vertigo and the accompanying "seasickness"-- I've been sleeping as much as possible (on purpose)just to get through these days and hope one day to wake up on the other side of these symptoms! I have found that drinking lots of water and taking a B-complex vitamin every morning seem to have helped slightly. And for those of you experiencing unintentional fatigue, an extreme dose of vitamin C (in the 6000 mg range, over the course of a day) can have very surprising effects on energy level. That said, I just wanted to mention that as opposed to all the posts from people that have apparantly had really negative experiences with Zoloft, during the time I was on it it was exactly what I needed. I have stopped after 8 years only because I feel like I have finally acclimated to the point where it is not effective anymore. But I did not have the terrible problems other people have mentioned and it would not be an exaggeration to say that Zoloft probably saved my life. So if there are folks reading these posts as they research possible courses of treatment, please keep in mind that people's experiences on these drugs (which frankly, science still knows frighteningly little about) are all vastly different. For myself and some other people I know Zoloft was the perfect alternative to the unacceptable side effects of Paxil, Prozac, and others. Now, back to sleep for me... =p IP: Logged |

hello! I have been on zoloft for seven years and am now on 300mg. a day which is the largest dose they will prescribe. They said they could do higher but the drowsiness would take over and good the drug would do. I started out on 50mg. and they just kept upping it. I have tried to go off of it and my doctor has tried to ween me off of it and put me on something else and I can't take it. I feel like I want to beat the crap our of anyone that looks at me wrong. Or yell at one of my family members for no reason. Then afterward I would be extremely depressed. So I am still on it and I take it at night before I go to bed. Take Care hope you get the relief you need! IP: Logged |

I have to say that I am really happy to have found this site. In my case, zoloft was what I needed to help me with postpartum depression and some hormonal mood swings including anxiety. Now that I'm feeling MUCH, MUCH, MUCH better, I tapered off the zoloft for three weeks and then stopped. Since then, I have been experiencing the "ZAPS" that I read others have experienced. Of course finding a physician that is even willing to try to understand what I'm explaining is difficult. Two have already tried to relate the zaps and dizziness to anxiety. I know the difference. I'm hoping that the zaps will go away soon. I'm encouraged by others saying that they will stop. I think I'll give the benadryl a try also. I know benadryl helps people with inner ear dizziness so maybe it will halp with the zaps too. IP: Logged |

Ok, looks like I needed to capitalize the F and the S in my username.....Anyway, thank you all for your postings on Zoloft. I learned more here than from my own Dr. I'd especially like to thank SueBri for outlining the protocol for weaning off. I took Zoloft for about 10 months after a tragedy in my life, and my highest dosage was 100 mg/day. I've been weaning off for about 2 weeks now and I'm down to 12.5 mg/day so I need to slow down my "weaning" a lot. I think I will stay here for about 2-3 more weeks. I am terribly grumpy and I "go off" a lot. Now I know that this is probably a symptom of withdrawl. Zoloft did save my life at the time I started taking it but while on it I had no energy and I gained 25 lbs. My Dr. says that has nothing to do with the "Z" but since I've been weaning off I've lost 5 lbs. without dieting. I'm not looking forward to the "zaps" but now I will know what they are if I get them. Thank you all for taking the time to post your stories here. Take care and the best of luck to all of you! ![]() IP: Logged |

After reading the horrible side effects many of you have experienced, what do you think about a 5 year old taking zoloft for anxiety, and OCD?? Right now the dosage is .5cc to start, increase to .10cc daily, this is a liquid concentrate. Has anyone heard how this drug works on kids? Also if they go through the same side effects?? I appreciate any help with these answers I can get, thanks. Also to all of you trying to stop taking the meds...I wish you well!!! C-22 IP: Logged |

I am new to this site this morning but have already learned a lot...thanks all. I am reponding to your question Catch22Catch22, about putting a young child on meds. Well, if people's experiences with meds on these boards aren't enough to scare you, go to www.prozactruth.com/pharmagenetics.htm and scroll down to the section titled "Anti-Depressants & ADHD Treatments". I think you, or anyone else, might find this information helpful. Complementary health care practitioners can offer non-drug alternatives to address behavioral/mental health issues. IP: Logged |

I am really surprised to hear that a DO has prescribed that much medication and such huge doses of Zoloft. I thought that DO's were supposed to be trained in an alternative way, learning osteopathy as well as medicine. If they do this they should just have trained as MD's instead. I also agree with the alternatives and ADHD in kids. I do not think that antidepressants are the answer to this at all. IP: Logged |

Reading this (and the prozac truth site) is scaring the crap out of me. I've been on Zoloft for OCD for almost 5 years now. I started out at 50mg, and went up gradually to the point where I'm at now, 300mg. I wanted to taper off, so I went down to 275mg. I was doing fine on that for months, so I tried to go down to 250mg... after about a week my OCD was back to almost it's full intensity, so I ended up going back to 300mg which is what I've been at for just over a week now. Today, I couldn't remember if I took todays dose or not, so I took a dose, and started worrying that I might have taken 600mg... I did a search for "zoloft overdose" which is how I found the prozactruth site... that led me to do some searches on the withdrawl symptoms, which is how I found this one. My OCD is of the violent/aggressive thought nature... the fear of hurting someone I love because of Zoloft withdrawl symptoms is just too much to bear... but I now know that I need to find a way to get off of it... I suffer from many of the side effects mentioned by others, though I never realized it... IP: Logged |

Sarah68 - I share your surprise with a DO prescribing Zoloft to me, not to mention the dosage he ultimately had me on - and my diagnosis wasn't even depression or depression-related. I had never been depressed until I was actually ON the Zoloft, so I really feel for people who suffer from depression. It is a very helpless feeling. I have a friend that is currently being treated for depression with Celexa, and she is doing fine on it. What really bothered me the most about my previous doctor was a) he prescribed an anti-depressant when depression was not my diagnosis; and b) he continued to increase the dosage while failing to note the adverse reaction I was having (getting depressed). I feel absolutely wonderful now. Don't get me wrong - there were days I didn't think I would make it through the withdrawals...and they were HELL. No doubt the "zaps" were the worst. But thankfully that is behind me. I realize different meds affect people differently; but I have read sooo much about Zoloft that I am not convinced it is safe to be used by anyone. Do a "Google" search and look at the LONG list of lawsuits against it...amazing. Lastly, I am not a good person to ask about giving meds to children, especially behavior-altering meds. IMO, I don't think a child's system is developed enough to process a lot of the chemicals that the pharmaceutical companies push. When I was growing up, we didn't have all these ADD and other diagnoses. That's just MY opinion. My nephew was diagnosed with a behavioral disorder; and my sister-in-law took him to four different doctors before they realized his symptoms were allergy-related... After all I have been through, I say get second opinions, third opinions - find a doctor who is WILLING to get to the root of the problem and not mask it with meds...

I want to caution people against going "cold turkey" when they quit Zoloft. Suddenly stopping this kind of medication creates intense withdrawal; it is important to gradually wean yourself off of it. I was on 100mg for just over a year when I started weaning. I took 50mg for one month; then 25mg for another month. Now I've completely stopped and I'm experiencing only mild symptoms of withdrawal: ever few hours I feel like a wave of adrenaline is washing over me for about 3 seconds. Because of Zoloft's long half-life (the time it remains in your system after quiting), I didn't begin experiencing withdrawal until my 5th day of being Z-free. Some of you don't seem to have any concrete reasons for quiting Zoloft. Especially in the case of the person with OCD, I STRONGLY caution you against quiting "just because." If you think withdrawal symptoms are bad, imagine being plagued with thoughts of suicide again, imagine feeling withdrawn, hopeless and miserable. A year and a half ago I went cold turkey with my Celexa because I thought my sex life was suffering. But my sex life (along with everything else in my life) just got worse becaus I was teary and sad all the time. You need to seriously consider why you are trying to quit before going through with it. It may very well do you more harm than good. IP: Logged |

I hope I'm doing this right.....anyway, I've been on Zoloft for about three years, and about a year and a half ago I told my doctor that I thought it was making me tired and asked if we could try something else....so of course, he promptly upped the dosage to 200 mg/day (it had been 100 mg) and I still felt like I was tired and rundown all the time. On a few occasions, I forgot to take it, and boy did I ever feel it. So I took it regularly because I couldn't stand the way I felt if I missed a day or two. Then recently, I was sick for about a week, I barely got out of bed. I realized I hadn't taken Zoloft for a few days and decided to quit. Yeah.....right. I didn't notice the effects of quitting because I was sick, and felt like crap anyway. But in the days that followed, it became alarmingly clear that something was wrong. I felt carsick from the time I woke up until I went to bed at night. I felt like I needed to stretch my neck and back and shoulders, like there was a giant, invisible hand constantly gripping the back of my neck. The feeling of dizziness and carsickness never let up, to the point where it was upsetting my stomache. I hate to admit it, but I started taking 100 mg/day again, and I don't feel like I'm going to fall out of my chair every five seconds anymore. I hate that I didn't try harder, but I literally could not function feeling like that. IP: Logged |

Hey, i actually found a site thats up to date... anyway ive been on Zoloft for about 2 1/2 years now and am on a dosage of 200mg of which im told is the maximum allowed... the reason im on it stems from an anxiety problem i have which in turn causes me to be depressed... when i first started zoloft i was on 50 mg and definitly had the "BrainZaps" as i like to call them and my doctor also didnt know what i was talking about but from all the responses here we know the truth!!!... I also became really agitated, nauseated, scared, had headaches/migrains, increased sweating and heart palpitations... it all really sucked but it went away after about 5 weeks for me... it all seems terrible but i kinda feel ok now and can live my life... I tried to come off them once but then i just had panic attacks so i guess it just wasnt my time yet... it bugs me that i have to take "pills" to keep me intact but i suppose thats life... I would love to try to come off of them in the near future, maybe i can do it this time ... I have also tried Luvox which didnt really do anything but had TERRIBLE withdrawl symptoms for me... And i also tried cipramil which made me wanna commit suicide so i got off that pretty quickly... Anyway if anyone wants some advice or is just worried just give me an email ![]() IP: Logged |

You all are so fantastic and the information and support I've seen here is unlike anything I've experienced at a physican's office. I started taking Zoloft a little over a month ago and have to admit that I noticed a difference. It was almost like a veil of moodiness had been lifted from me and I actually felt better. What brought me to this message board was that I let my prescription run out and went two days without taking the medicine, not thinking anything of it. It was amazing to me how horrible I felt for those two days and how quickly my body had become used to having it. Now, after reading all of your posts, I'm wondering if I should stop before "really" becoming used to it? IP: Logged |

I'm glad, somewhat, that I'm not alone in battling the side effects of Zoloft. I recently found out that I have high blood pressure and my doctor prescribed Zoloft (along with a blood pressure med) to "take the edge off", as he put it. Well, after taking it for the first time, I was high as a kite. I either wanted to giggle or sleep (more of the later). After being on Zoloft for a little over 3 months, I decided to get off of it. After all, my pressure was good, and I thought I'd taper off my meds one at a time. Since Zoloft was not my "primary" medication, I started with that one. Big mistake! After being off of it for a week, I started to get these sharp sensations in my head, like a bee was loose in there. First, I'd get a single pulse every so often, then during the next week, they were coming in pairs. After all that and having serious mood swings, I thought it best that I protect myself and family by getting back on it. After a couple of weeks, I'll begin the process of properly tapering myself off of Zoloft. If I would have truly known how serious a drug this is, I would have been more cautious and mindful about taking it. Thank you all for listing your experiences and comments about Zoloft. I hope that mine helps someone as well. Be blessed! And in all your getting, get understanding. IP: Logged |

I am sooo glad to know there are other people going threw what I am going threw. I started taking 50 mls of Zoloft per day about 6 months ago. I was depressed and it helped with that but I have dreams that really feel real and remember every single one every night and constantly tired all the time. I figured It was time to go off I really don't like depending on medicines. So about 4 days ago I went off cold turkey. The first 2 days I felt great better than I have felt in a long time! Then the third day I started getting these strange feelings in my head. I guess you call them zaps. It is so weird! hard to explain. They last a few seconds and happen about every 20 minutes or less. Then last night I went to bed and my body started twitching it really scared me! So I got up this morning and took half of a pill. And last night I started feeling just lousy, dreadful feelings. Like depressed again except more! I called my doctor and he said no thats not from withdrawal. Doctors dont know what they are talking about most of the time. They dont know enough about the medicines to really say. But anyways I wanted to know how long the withdrawals last and how I should wean and is there anyone with the same withdrawals as me? I am not so much scared because of the zaps but i am of the dreadful feelings! My mom took zoloft several years ago and quit cold turkey and tried to kill herself. Now I am not the type to even think of those thoughts and I dont think I would ever o such a thing but its just scary to think about. Please email me if you want to talk or help! ambermarie28@aol.com ------------------ IP: Logged |

I have been on Zoloft over a year and other SSRIs for 3-4 years. The hotflashes and profuse sweating has become unbearable and I think the Zoloft is to blame so i ahve been tapering off of it. I have been having episodes of nausea since I started the taper. 2 days ago I finished the taper and began having a strange and disturbing buzzing sensation in my head. My eyes feel like they are going to pop out of my head, and the buzzing is worse when I turn my head or look to the side. I hope that after a week, when the drugs clears my system, these symptoms will go away, but I am a bit disheartened by what I have read here and on other sites about the withdrawal. Am wondering how long it took some of you to be symptom free after stopping the zoloft. I have NO desire to go back on this or any other SSRI! Thanks... IP: Logged |

Wow, I feel relieved to have found this as well. I initially was placed on zoloft about 50mgs. about a year and a half ago due to menstruation mood swings. Then, my x husband and I split up, there was a lot of other crap happening, and I asked that the dosage be increased to 100. This worked fine for a time, then I met someone special and became involved. It took us a little while to realize that it was the zoloft which was preventing me from having orgasms; when we did, I decided to stop taking it. To make a long story short the withdrawals were horrible, so I took it some more at a lower dosage (50) for a a few weeks and then started trying to cut back again. I've been dizzy as hell, and also my arm has been aching...for a WEEK or more...anyone else have this????? I cannot BELIEVE they tell ppl this stuff is not habit forming. I am horrified as I realize I am going to have to take it some more and be MUCH more slow about stopping it. I did call my doctor, and she wasn't very helpful. One problems seems to be that these docs I've been going to seem to think that it's ok to censure me for having a sexual relationship outside of marriage...its an HMO so it won't be easy to find someone else but I am going to do it. Hey all. I went through Zoloft withdrawal about four months ago. It was brutal and unexpected. I don't think the doctors are too aware of this--or too interested for that matter. I did taper off but I still had the pinging sensation and weird cramps and aches all over. Hot baths and tylenol helped. It was all over in about two weeks. I called a pharmacist and they were able to tell me how long the zoloft stays in my system. I also went to a nutrition center and bought a supplement that they recommended for helping the liver function and rid the body of toxins. I never know if this stuff is true or not but it did seem to help. So you can get through it and it will get better but eat well, and drink a ton of water. So now I'm off the meds and not depressed--just fat! Any ideas on how to lose the zoloft poundage? ------------------ IP: Logged |

It has now been 2 weeks since I stopped the zoloft completely. After 8 days, the buzzing and wierdness was 80% better, and now is very occasional-usually only when I look sharply to the side I will get that zinging feeling in my head. I still am having some waves of nausea. But things ARE looking up... IP: Logged |

Wow, I can't believe I've found all of you who are just like me. I'm trying to wean myself off the Zoloft too ... it's not helping with the moods and the weight gain is horrible. I'm taking 100 mgs and for four days now took 50 mgs. Today I noticed the "vertigo", sea sickness, nausea ... I freaked and took 75 mg tonight, but still feel like crap. Two years ago I was taking Paxil and got pregnant. My PCP told me to stop taking the meds. I became violently ill - bedridden, throwing up, dizzy, bed spins for 3 full days until I called my OB and he immediately put me back on the Paxil. He said you can't just quit cold turkey. The paxil stopped working after my son was born and now I've been on Zoloft for 1 1/2 years. 50 mgs. didn't seem to help, so now I'm on 100 mg .. .still don't feel right though. Should I try weaning off completely? Try a new anti-depressant? I'm so confused. [This message has been edited by limomof3 (edited 06-05-2003).] IP: Logged |

I began taking Zoloft about 4 months ago. I suffer from pretty severe PSM and my docter prescribed Zoloft thinking it might help. I have noticed a improvement in my moods and my depression has improved also. I got frightened when I read all of your posts and decided to stop taking the Zoloft before I became too dependant on it. I haven't taken it for 3 days and although I feel much more moody today than usual, I have not really experienced any severe withdrawls or symptoms. I have not experienced the "zaps" yet but as I said my mood is pretty bad today and I feel dizzy and am seeing little spots or floating specks (for lack of a better word). Question... At what point did the withdrawls become really bad? Is there any medication that anyone could recommend that helps with the depression and PMS that doesn't have such bad side effects? I was on Paxil for a short while but it gave me horrible headaches. Thanks! IP: Logged |

It was great to find you kindred spirits! I started 100 mgs. of zoloft about 6 months ago. After I had my 3rd baby I just couldn't shake the "black cloud" hanging over me and my constant mild depression, so my doctor put me on it. It seems to have helped me for the most part. I'm not sure if it was the drug or the positive changes I've made in my life that have got me past the PPD, but when my script ran out a week ago I was in the throes of getting my dd through her last few days of school and never filled it. Yes, I know, not the ideal way to wean. Anyhow, my side effects include the buzzing, and irritability. I feel like I'm on the edge of losing it with my 3 children constantly and have been winning that battle through sheer will. I also have had a racing heart and constant fatigue. I'm heading off to yoga in a few minutes and will try valiantly to get more water down, but I know I can get through this. I really hope the zoloft has been the culprit in my insatiable hunger and weight gain, despite my efforts to lose weight and my exercise schedule. IP: Logged |

Well, it's now day 5 without Zoloft and I thought I'd share how I'm feeling. I decided to do it "cold-turkey" knowing it's not advisable but I had only been on the drug for 3 months (maybe a little longer) and was hoping that I hadn't become too addicted to it. Last night I did experience about 2 zaps, which is a really weird sensation but I stayed calm because I sort of expected it to happen. So far, the worst for me is right as I am waking up in the morning, even before I get out of bed. I feel like I am in a complete fog, confused, disoriented, tired. After I shower, get ready for work, have a cup of coffee and drop the kids at camp I feel my self coming around. The key for me has been staying busy and trying really hard not to think about it. I most definitely feel more moody and try hard to take a deep breath or think twice before snapping at anyone. The most alarming part of this for me has been the bizarre dreams I've been having for the past two nights. Not so much nightmares but really weird. I also have gained weight, not much but enough for me to take notice. I believe it is because of the Zoloft from all that I've read. The funny thing about this is when I was initially prescribed the drug, the doctor told me "This drug is specifically manufactured for young, active, attractive people like you who don't want to gain weight like you do when you take Prozac." Do doctors have some incentive for pushing these drugs on us or do they simply not do the research? I don't get it! Sorry to ramble on but I've found this message board to be very helpful and I hope that all of you can get some relief knowing there are others out there. I'll try to keep you updated as time passes but so far, so good. Take care! IP: Logged |

Day 6 For the first time I actually thought about re-filling my prescription this morning-but didn't. I had a really bad night. I had to leave my company's softball game in between the first and second game because I was in such a fowl mood. One good thing did happen. I decided to go and get a really great haircut and that helped. I feel ok today at work. It seems like the morning and evening are the worst for me. IP: Logged |

Just an update--It has now been over 3 weeks since I stopped the Zoloft completely. Thought the first week was hell, I no longer have any buzzing or eye popping, AND my mood is improving every day! I am no longer biting my family's heads off for no real reason, and no longer so depressed I want to die. The sun is shining and that helps a lot, especially here in the midwest. When I finally got in to my internist this week, I mentioned the horrid withdrawal symptoms and he just looked at me like I was nuts and said he had never heard of that before. Then he said I could stay off the Antidepressants and if I noticed I was getting too "blue" I could try a different one. Blue?? BLUE??!! Depression is the darkest black abyss ever! I really don't think most docs get it at all!! Anyway, best of luck to those of you trying to get off the zoloft, and I hope it helps to know that the withdrawal WILL go away!! IP: Logged |
