Has anyone been on Felbatol or heard anything on this drug-- I understand the pharmacutical company is trying to change its chemical components.Thanks for any info IP: Logged |

About 10 years ago they thought it caused aplastic anemia and pulled it from the shelf. My dr. pulled me off of it and I thought the medicine was done for. I was suprised to see and hear of people still using it. Maybe the FDA changed its mind about the medicine. I haven't heard anything current on it. IP: Logged |

Felbatol was almost pulled off the market by the FDA due to many fatalities (aplastic anemia) but was left on the market for failures to other drugs and is suppose to be a LAST resort, not the first. There are MANY, MANY other drugs on the market. What type of epilepsy do you have? Do some research first on any drug that you are prescribed. IP: Logged |
