I play volleyball 6 days a week with 2 games every week. My upper arm started giving me trouble about 5 days ago. I put a heat pad on it every day before I play/practice for 10 minutes, but it never helps. I dont know what muscle it is because it seems to be restricted to just this certain area in my arm, somewhat on the left side of my upper right arm and only about 3 inches by 1 inch of it is effected. It's the worst at night, when I lie in bed and move it, I get a jolt of pain up my arm, and it kills me, and only goes away after I keep it in the same posistion for about 10 minutes. I can't even lift my arm without pain. I'm beginning to wonder if this problem is beyond a pulled muscle, mainly because I've had my share of pulled muscle and they never are this severe and dont last this long. I'm sorry I cant offer more info about where its located, but like I said, its hard to determine. Any ideas would be much help! Thanks!

Left side of the upper right arm....Bicep.. I would take a week off.... This has happened to both my arms at one point where I couldn't lift anything from the pain... I didn't do anything for one week then I was fine... You may be overtraining yourself and not eating enough as well..
