well, as you said, you know the low carb diet... If you're looking for an exact meal plan, that's easier said than done. A lot depends on what you can/will eat and your schedule. Best I can do is give an example of what I eat when Im on the "cutting" phase (2 to 4 weeks tops). It's a very boring diet, but it works for me.

Breakfast: Flax-o-meal (150 calories/ 2g carbs)
or
1 whole egg, 4 egg whites, hard boiled

Snack: Low carb protein shake

Lunch: 2 cans of tuna and a cup of miso soup

Snack: Low carb bar or shake

Dinner: Scrambled eggs, Baked salmon (or any fish), or egg drop soup

Now, keep in mind, adding chicken, turkey, beef... about any meat can be stuck in there, but I only eat fish (no beef or fowl), so my variety is a lot less. It's tough to avoid breads and anything sweet for a bit, but oddly enough, the cravings for sweets die off after a couple days and they actually become kind of unappetizing (to me at least). But for a little variety, kool-aid sweetened with Splenda, Perrier, adding soy-cheese to eggs or tuna or baking fish with a mustard sauce is kind of helpful and makes it slightly less drab. If I feel too depleted of carbs, I'll have some spinach or broccoli. Something filling but not to full of carbs. And I don't keep this up for more than 4 weeks _tops_. More than that with this low of a carb supply gets to be very unhealthy. I hope that's at least a little helpful. Good luck!

Hi there. I got really ripped in the summer just before my wedding. I did cut down majorly on carbs. I jogged for 1/2 our every day and lifted weights every other day. For breakfast I had: 2 boiled eggs, 1 banana....Lunch: 1 power bar(Promax) these are high in protein, 1 apple, mixed nuts and maybe another banana. for supper: mixed veg(steamed) with little pasta..snack: toast with peanut butter
I did not eat a lot but from running I was not that hungry. my arms got defined in only 1 month - you could see the veins feeding the muscle. I think if I ate more protein they would be bigger. because the muscles were not big just defined.
Good Luck

20 to 30 g or less a day is what takes your body into ketosis (burning fat instead of carbs for fuel). Fruit, especially bananas are very high in carbs, and they are high on glycemic index too, so I would avoid them, or any fruit (just on the cutting diet, not in general). Pasta and bread are also just a pile of carbs. I don't doubt that the listed diet worked for someone, but it is not very low carb.
