In order to achieve "perfect" abs, you need to eliminate the fat on your stomach. Cleaning up your diet, combined with regular cardiovascular exercise, will accomplish this. ------------------ IP: Logged |

doing situps every day will not do the trick. six-pack abs are part genetic, diet, and exercise. some people just don't get them no matter what they do. that's the bottom line. i'm not saying to give up though. if you REALLY want them, then you're going to have to monitor your diet. plan your meals out for the week, take notes on how your body reacts to it, etc. six-pack abs are not a gift. one has to earn them the hard way. Yeah because I have been in your shoes before babydoll. Im only 19 years old but i have been doing situps for a while now and i am now starting to see my little six pack coming out....lol So it'll take some time... Try watching what you eat and also, instead of situps, try doing some cruntches too...i do about 200-300 of those a day along with some situps between time.. Don't give up...itll take time ------------------ IP: Logged |

one simple way to get awesome abs is you have to incorporate your legs in your sit ups. what i mean is that when you are doing crunches, when you crunch up you are bringing your knees in towards you chest also. if possible, do hanging sit up from a pull up bar. roman chair sit ups are fantastic too but do them at the end of you ab sets. roman chairs our when you sit on the end of a bench (or something like a bench) and your upper body is at an angle (anywhere between 45-70 degrees) and just crunch your legs up towards you. the concept of all this is that people tend to forget there lower midsection, you need to target that area as doing so helps your six pack region or your obliques to respond easier. if you do these, you will feel the burn and you will see results. good luck.........flex IP: Logged |

quote: This simple, but not easy. 1) Diet, Diet, Diet- Abs are made in the kitchen, not in the gym. You need to eat small amounts of food 5-6 times a day. Take your daily calorie intake and break it down into equal amounts. You need a small amount of fat, 15% should be ok. .5 grams of protein per lb of body weight and about 1 to 1.5 grams of carbs per pound of body weight. This will cause your body to burn fat and not muscle. 2) You do not need to do abs every. Three times a week is fine. Choose three Ab exercises that you enjoy and do three sets of 30-40 slow reps. If you can't do 30-40 reps then do sets until you feel the muscle burn. Make sure you work upper abs, lower abs and side abs. You should feel a burn deep into the muscle. 3) Do cardio training 4 times a week for 30 minutes at 65% of your max heart rate. Subtract your age from 220 and multiple that by .65% 220-20=200, 200 X .65= 130 4) Be patient and cheat with your eating once a week. IP: Logged |

A cardiovascular workout. Like biking, running, jogging, using an elliptical machine, stairclimber... IP: Logged |
