Okay, I used to have a great butt, and it seems like all of a sudden i woke up one day and now one cheek is smaller than the other! It's really quite depressing! I'm in a weightlifting class at school and maybe I used one leg/glute more than the other, but still... If anyone could help me I'd REALLY appreciate it! As for the abs, I have a flabby stomach, and love handles and would REALLY like to get rid of them... have any suggestions?? Thanks!! IP: Logged |

As others have said and I'm finding out--LUNGES. They really work. You can do a simple search on google and find out proper technique, and other great moves to do to target the butt and lower back (lovehandles). I actually just posted on this board about my stupid lovehandles, and THEN went online to find some moves, and it's really very helpful to research. The "dead lift" is another good one for the butt. As for your abs, I personally like doing crunches on a ball--those big rubber support balls. I've really slimmed down by doing those. And the reverse crunch, when you bring your legs up instead of your torso up. ------------------ IP: Logged |

For your butt and legs, nothing beats squats. As for the stomach, if it's fat, you need to drop your caloric intake to below your weight maintenace requirements. You can do this by increasing output or decreasing input. A combination of the two is best, aiming not to drop more than 500 cals below maintenace. You can't spot reduce fat from one area. I have a knee problem too so lunges are out of the question for me. Do you have access to a swimming pool? Swimming is great exercise for buttocks. If you do not like swimming you can go for deep water aerobics to shape your buns. IP: Logged |

I don't have a pool in my backyard or anything, but this summer/late spring I should be able to go! Thanks for the suggestion, I totally forgot about it! IP: Logged |
