I have heard that only 4% of women in the world do not get celulite. Well I wish I were one of them!!! What can be done to get rid of it? Anything? I have heard that you can increase cardio, weight training, no smoking, no caffeen, etc.

Does anyone know anything I don't? I hate it, and I am tired of covering the back of my legs. I live in AZ and it is REALLY HOT! Try coming up with an excuse why you are wearing pants in the summer! Really, there has got to be an easier way to get rid of it. (NOT lipo or creams!)

Thanks!

Well....not really. You can be thin as a rail and still have cellulite. It's just the way our bodies are, which is why women's are different from men's and why they don't get it. Unfortunately there's really nothing you can do to get rid of it, aside from liposuction, which in itself carries a risk. The only thing I know of that helps to 'hide' it is a tan, preferably from a bottle. The darker skin tends to make it appear smoother and not as noticeable, which might be worth a try. Maybe some others out there have a few ideas?

Resistance training for glutes and hams and overall fat loss are about the best most of us can do. Genetics will screw us every time, but you can minimize the problem. Building up some more muscle will help firm the area and decrease the dimpling look. General fat loss will also help to smooth it out. Even liposuction won't work, so it's less of an option than you think. Drinking lots of water can help, but that's good for your whole body.

I'm 5'7, 140lbs. I work out and I try to eat well, although I do have a weakness for junk food. Everyone I know considers me thin, and I have cellulite. It's just something you need to learn to live with sometimes. Like some earlier posters have said, there are things you can do to minimize it, but when you see that skinny as a stick girl walking down the street, know that she probably has it too.
