So what is considered a normal eye pressure reading? For the last 3 yrs my readings are running about 19 to 21 for each eye and sometimes higher nd lower. I'm being watched for glaucoma as I have optic nerve atrophy, retina thinning, nerves dying at a abnormal rate, my mother has glaucoma and also my younger brother, I'm 55. just curious as to another darn medical condition to look out for. In my experience, anything 20 or below is considered normal. I think 21 is still OK, maybe slightly high. But if your doctor wants he can put you on anti-glaucoma drops. IP: Logged |

I have glaucoma and use Xalatan. My average is 19, and the Dr. seems okay with that. IP: Logged |
