Get yourswlf checked for crabs.

Anyone who does not shave that region, guy or girl, has an incrased risk of getting crabs. They cause rashes and itching.

Shaving does not help because the crabs tend to get under the skin. Blue Star Ointment is good, but can burn the skin if not applied properly. However, I recommend letting a doctor evaluate you before you try treating yourself. It could just be a rash from heat or yeast, but since you say it's small rashes in different places it could be something else. Are you sexually active? Is it possible you could have contracted herpes? You really need to get in with a doctor while the rash is present, so they will know how it looks and have a better idea what's going on.

Let me quickly add, blue star ointment should NOT be applied directly on or inside the vagina or any surfaces where there are mucous membranes.

Even a virgin can contract crabs. They can be found on toilet seats, bedding ect. ect. of infected people, and if you have pubic hair, they can and will cling on for dear life. They suck your blood up to several times per day causing severe itching and rashes. Scratching and washing only inspires them to grasp your pubic hair all the more tightly.

By saying "I'm not sexually active", do you mean that in aspects to all forms of sex? If a male of whom is infected performs oral sex on you, BAM, you probobly have it. It does not take intercource to be spread. The signs of herpes are more like razor burn. Rashes with small bumps all over the place.

As for the cost of treatment, I can't tell ya. Never had either or. If it becomes consistant, get yourself checked out. If you have changed to a new bath product, it could be the cause. I know when I first used Lever 2000, it made all my 2000 parts itch!

I don't know about this crabs thing. especally If you are not sexully active. How old are you? If you are young, you may not have experienced a yeast infection yet. They itch like CRAZY! Go to a drug store and the Pharmasist can direct you to the medication for yeast infections. It should be with the feminine products. Eat some yogart(asphodaphalus)(sp). Your OBGYN is a good next step. The Lord Bless you and heal you.

If you have crabs, you should be able to see them. So do not jump into a treatment program for crabs. You do not say how old you are???? That makes a difference also.

It could be strept. If you contract a fever then I suggest visiting the doctor. At first I thought you were describing a yeast infection, but that doesn't sound very likely with the rash you have. Give your doctor's office a call and the nurse who picks up should be able to give you some info.

You sound like you have a yeast infection. Do you have any discharge? I worked in a clinic for 7 years and a rash is also common with yeast infections.
If you had crabs you would see the bugs on your pubic hair shaft and you would see nits ( eggs). If you are in doubt go to the doc.
