It depends on a couple of things: How low your blood pressure gets, and how quickly it drops.

Some of the symptoms are: feeling light-headed, feeling slightly dizzy or as if the world is tilting, feeling totally exhausted, feeling weak.

However, many things can cause the same symptoms. If you suspect your bp is low, ask your doctor about it. You could also get a home blood pressure monitor and use it to test your bp, especially at the times you feel symptoms.

Its about my 5 yr old. Having issues that sent him to ER via 911. In PICU for 2 wks, unknown as to whats wrong. Went from bijimony ( 1000+ beats) which they want to say is artifact due to him being alive !!! Then ventricular tachycardia, pvc's, now saying probably blood pressure. Says he drops and then heart races to catch up. Episodes always right after recess,, not pe, not at home, etc. Extremely weak, collapse yet doesnt lose conciousness. Says he cant keep up clutching his chest. Deep breaths, says he is dizzy and hears a deep monotone sound, as if he were going to faint. He also has a swollen lymph on left side neck, very prominent from sight. Up for removal and testing of this, yet due to episodes and not knowing the reasons surgeon had denied him coverage to have biopsy. Currently on Atenolol 12.5 mg a day. Thermatabs (potassium, sodium) two times a day and gatorade. Also on monitor, ironic during episode didnt work, just got new non defective monitor today. At a loss, all responses so appreciated

http://www.medicon.cz/Medicon/Facts/NationalRankings/NEUR95.html I don't know where you are from but you could try this link. It is a list of the best rated neurologists for different states. Also, I tried typing in pediatric doctors, but had a hard time getting a list, which you may be able to find easier for your area. A doctor that specializes in pediatrics, internal medicine may be what you need or calling and asking what type of specialist he should see. I was treated for 6 months for something I didn't have at the local clinic, then saw a specialist from the mayo, who pinpointed it immediately with one visit. The same thing happened another time with me, I was on antibiotics for a cough that would never end, I insisted on going to the mayo and was immediately taken off these and put on an inhaler, and recovered. The 2 hour drive was well worth it. I hope you find the cause and can help your son. Good luck
