I'm just getting used to cooking around recently diagnosed allergies that my husband has to dairy and to some wheat products. It's hard to find recipes that don't include either. Any suggestions?

Hi! Is he "allergic" to dairy, or Lactose Intolerant? Big difference. If it's Lactose Intolerance, I can give you a little help....

I have wheat and whole egg allergies and am lactose intollerant. Unfortunately, I don't have a magic cure extect eating/drinking what you are allergic to in small amounts. He'll know when he's ate/drank to much of what he is allergic to. Sorry I couln't do better!

I'm lactose intolerant and several months ago I eliminated all dairy and wheat from my diet. It was an experiment to see if my knee arthritis would go away (if it had been caused by a food allergy). I also eliminated all sugar products and hydrogenated fat & meat. The experiment was a success! However, I have NOT returned to eating dairy or anything with wheat in it (pasta, bread, etc.) Once you get used to the idea of not consuming the dairy & wheat there are so many choices of cooking with fresh wholesome veggies, fish, chicken, fruits!!
