No chest pain or breathlessness.Any body any ideas on what it can be? Is it just muscular? Im 5"11, 11 stone, BP is normal, cholesterol 4.5. I dont drink, never smoked. Ace, Hard to say from what you describe. I know that the first night I felt angina, was about 45 days prior to my heart attack. I had a mixed drink at dinner--that was out of the norm for me. I had this weird feeling through the center of my chest, as if someone had a spear running from my back through my front, similar to that "swallowed an ice cube feeling." From there, I notice that upon exertion, I had an ache (not sharp at all) that ran across both my shoulders. I remember thinking "what a weird discomfort this is?" That eventually progressed into a dull radiating pain that went across both shoulders and down both arms, but more noticeable in the left. The night prior to the heart attack, it felt as if my left arm was "different' than my right in sensation--almost numb. Anyway, my 2nd experience with angina came after my first stent in the RCA. Three months after the MI, I was out trying to run, and 15 sec into the run I noticed a pain that "radiated" from my left shoulder down my left arm. I knew what that indicated, so in I went again to get a 2nd stent, this time in the LAD. I was much wiser the 2nd time than the first. Having told you all this, the only encouragement I can give you is that you know yourself better than anyone. Just don't do what I did the first time, which was wait too long. If you suspect that there may be a problem, then ask your physician about it, and possibly get a stress test set up to see if any noticeable ischemia is present. -Ulrich P.S. I am 36 IP: Logged |
