Hello. Recently, a small red dot which resembles a pimple has appeared on the shaft of my penis. It has been there for two months, not bothering me, and not growing in size or shape. A couple days ago, when I was walking, the motion of my boxers rubbing against this "pimple" caused discomfort and irration. When I examined the "pimple" when I got home, it grew in size from last time I checked. It is red and has a white dot in the raised center of it. I tried popping it (just to see if it was poppable) but nothing happened. It just caused discomfort and irration. I 15 years old and I have never had sexual contact before so there is no way this is a STD. Could someone please give me their incite on what they think this is? Thank you. IP: Logged |

maybe its just a rash... are you alllergic to something? like your boxers for instance? i was going to suggest some sort of STD like herpes but since you mentioned you haven't had sex it must be something else if it causes you much discomfort ask your parents about it and maybe they could take you to see a doctor(it might be really embarrassing but would u rather have an irritation down there for who knows how long?) ------------------ IP: Logged |

Could be an ingrown hair. At 15, you're still "growing the bush," and it's not unusual at all for guys to have some hair on the shaft--esp. if you are, or are destined to be, hairy "down there." The fact that it didn't "pop" like a pimple makes it sound like that. Try applying a warm wet cloth (like a washcloth)---that can help ease an ingrown hair out. If and when it becomes visible on the surface, you can gently lift it above the skin level with a VERY clean tip of a needle and some alcohol. Give it a few tries with the warm compress first, and even dab a bit of witch hazel on it. Good luck bud. IP: Logged |

i dont think its an ingrown hair. Its more like.. all white and its more of like a lump. It is just on the surface of my skin because i can pull on it... and its like its about to rip off if I pull too hard. I dont know what the hell it is and its freaking me out IP: Logged |

Look, your messing around with your health here, go see your doctor or dermatologist before things gets worse and they can get worse. You do have some sort of infection on your penis, which is common when you are growing up but, you do need treatment with a perscription medication. If you do not want to tell your parents why, be general, tell them it is a skin thing. One tip I will tell you is keep yourself very clean always, your whole body, not just your penis. You are young and the best thing you can do for yourself, and your future girl(s) is to take care of yourself. ive had 1 of those b4... it started as just a red spot.. then it got bigger and grew a big white head, i coudnt resist popping it! it popped just like a normal facial spot and all the white gunky stuff came out and ive had no problems with it, it has just gone! IP: Logged |
