: I went to Hi Health today and saw these bars from Carbolite that are said to be Zero Carb (they taste great). Two issues, the small print says that "excess consumption may cause a laxative effect" and there is an asteric on the nutritional facts on the Total Carbs **0.37g and the comment at the bottom says"**Malittol, alow digestable carbohydrae has been omitted from the total carbohydrate content as it can only convert to a negligible amount of glucose in the body. The amount of malititol accounts for approximately 39% of the caloric value of the bar." What does this mean? : I did a keto stick tonight and it is nearly negative and I had 1.5 bars of this chocolate bar today. I don't think I splurged on any other carbs that would make me go negative. Anyone know more about this stuff. : Thanks : Jeff Hi Jeff--I find that every time I find something like this that is allowed and that I like I start gaining. I also want to know why. Diet pudding--1/4 cup will stop me dead for a month.. WHY????
