Hi,
You must have Pellagra...a condition of vitamin B deficiency that causes the runs. My daughter had it when a baby. No doctor could help her.

A mid-wife that was into health foods told me to feed my baby brewer's yeast and carob powder (both are very rich in B vitamins that are naturally balanced), sprinkled on mashed bananas and cooked fresh mashed apples.
She was well in just one day!!!

About the fiber, one could not digest fiber very well, or at all, if deficient in the B vitamins that feed the natural intestinal flora that moves the food thru. It would just make one bloat! You should be able to add fiberous foods slowly when the bowels have gotten back to normal.
Be sure to drink lots of water, too.

I am so glad for you that you were able to get back to normal! Hooray !! : )
