I think that the human body is a complex machine, and like most machines if you don'yt give it what it needs it can't work right. Any diet plan that dosen't promote a balance of carbohydrates, protiens, and fats can't be good for you. Carbohydrates are not the enemy, eating too much is. The reason people have sucess with low carb diets is because they eat too many carbohydrates and fats in a day. The typical American diet consists of 40%carbs 40%fat and 20% protien. If we could learn to swap fat and protien and do a little exercise we wouldn't have such a high rate of obesity. One more thing diets that are too high in protien can place the body in an acidic state that can lead to a calcium deficenicy. Remember if you really want to lose weight the right way balance is everything.
