The book she was referring to is "Eat Right for Your Type". You can get the book at any bookstore or online at Amazon.com. You can read online reviews of it there also. According to the book, Blood Type A does better by avoiding red meat and sticking to protein sources such as fish and chicken and eating plenty of vegetables. Type O is the oldest and most common bloodtype and does best on a diet that emphasizes meat and limits or avoids grains. Type B also do well on the meat based diet and can also better tolerate dairy products. I'm a Type B and have been following Dr. Atkins diet for several years now with success. I eat lots of meat (all types), eggs, and cheese, avoid sugars and grains, and eat lots of nutrient rich low-starch vegetables.
