If you can stick with it for a week, it gets easier and the cravings for carby foods goes away. Your attitude should be "look at all the good stuff I get to eat!" rather than "look at all the stuff I can't have!"

But you need to find a way of eating that you can stick with for life. Atkins isn't really a diet so much as it is a way of life. If it's a struggle for you, then perhaps it's not the right thing for you. Atkins is too restrictive for some people, and for some people it doesn't seem to work. You need to find something you can LIVE with.
