My favorite treat in the whole wide world is a McDonalds Oreo McFlurry. Obviously, on this diet it is off limits and really, I haven't craved sweets. Here is my problem. My fiancee is a real sweetheart, and he likes to suprise me with stuff like this, and he did last night. I've explained the diet to him before, but obviously it isn't sinking in. His feelings were very hurt when I turned him down. He thought that since I had already been losing weight, I deserved a treat. I tried to explain why I couldn't, but still I had hurt feelings to deal with. He has a quick metabolism and is fairly athletic anyway so weight has never been an issue for him even though he says he respects my detemination and will power to lose my excess weight. We are getting married next Sunday and I am still trying to figure out how to get out of eating a piece of the wedding cake. The McFlurry is currently sitting in freezer untouched. How does one deal with this kind of sincerity with out hurt feeling? I am at a loss. I almost ate it out of guilt, but I figured the guilt after I ate it would be even worse. I am doing so well thus far. 3 weeks and 15 lbs, I am on a roll and I don't want to screw it up now. Any input?
Sara
