For those that are interested in my stategy against being overweight...I have been maintaining my 10 lb. weight loss by avoiding dairy products. Yes, I have cheated by having pizza once a week, and it's probably hindered my success, but slowly but surely, the weight IS coming off. Sometimes I get on the scale after eating a lot of pasta, and I've lost weight. I've tried every diet known to man, and this has been the only way of eating that I can LIVE with. It's a small sacrifice for me. Don't get me wrong I LOVE cheese, in fact I LIVED for cheese. But now that I have given up cheese, I've realized all the extra calories I was consuming. Just think about all the extra calories you're giving up by avoiding cheese...because in fact, it's about 90% fat!!

And another small change I've made is forgoing the heavy cream in my coffee every day, seven days a weeks!!! Just think about those extra calories I'm saving in one year!!! I can admit to myself that I will always LOVE coffee, but I can do without the extra calories.

I know there's low-fat dairy products, but let's face it, they're not always available. So when you can, and it is a choice, AVOID them...it will make a difference.
