I have normally had pretty regular and consistant periods. About 18 months ago I had a colposcopy because i bled too easily for a pap to be done. This showed nothing irregular.
My period is usually light for couple of days, then heavy for a couple, then light until it is over, usually takes about 6 days all in all.
This time I have had light bleeding, not even enough to wear a tampon all the time, and it has lasted 8 days so far!
I have been under a lot of stress for months, on beta blockers, and off work with inner ear related problems for 14 weeks. Could the stress etc be the cause of my abnormal period? I am not hysterical and happy to see if next month is better, but will go to GP if this doesn't stop within the next few days.
Has anyone else suffered any side effects of beta blockers? Or, is it just stress related?
