: Well before everyone starts telling me to go to the doctor...I have:) I have had Vaginal itching most of my life at different times. Now it just doesn't go away. I have been checked for HIV and diabetes and all STDs. My doctor says it a skin problem not a yeast infection or STD. I have been told to use white cotton underwear...no perfume..etc etc. All the usual things to stop it from itching. But none of them work. This is about the fourth doctor I have gone to for this problem. They say its a skin problem and tell me to use Hydrocordisone (sorry if I spelled that wrong). It is not a terrible itch just annoying. I was wondering if there is anyone out there who has had a similar problem and what did you do that helped it? Am I eating something that is causing it? Any advice you might have would make my day :)
Several things to try. One be sure your laundry soap is free from dyes and pefumes as well as your fabric softener if you use any. Be sure your pants do not fit so snugly in the crotch that they might be causing the irritation. If you bath do not use any bath products as these can cause irritation and itching. Are you using a soap that is free from dyes and perfumes? Is the toilet paper you use free of dyes and perfumes? These are all possible causes.
