It is possible to be an acne like bump or it could be a something else. If it looks like a pimple or infectected hair follicle you can use a hot compress several times a day and see if it clears up on it's own. If it doesn't clear up on it's own then it's time to have the doctor check it out. When you examined it did it look like it had a pus filled center? This is usually a good indication that it is an infection that will respond to hot compresses.
