: Whats the earliest you cant detect autism? I was just wondering if when an autistic child was a baby, did they do anything different then, or did you just find out when they were older?

When Joe was a baby he would act like a sack of potatoes when I would hold him. This was still going on after six months. He would make good eye contact and smile, but he wouldn't hold himself up. I have read this is an early sign.
