: We have an ADHD 10 year old girl. She has been on Ridilin for two school years. One of the greatest problems we have had is getting her to bring home her assignments. This includes notice of future test. We have run out of ideas and are running out of patience. Encouragement and then, alternatively threats to suspend her soccer and horseback riding seem to have no effect. Any help out there?

We also had have that problem with our 9 year old girl. She was on Ritilin and then was switched to adderall. Her grades have been fluctuating all year. She originally had a homework book that at the end of the day the teacher would write the assignments on the board and the class was supposed to write down their assignments, well for her, she would write them down or she would write them down incorrectly, leaving out test dates and assignments. Well I got her another one that split the subjects up into different columns, and now she has to copy the assignments like that, and before she leaves school the teacher checks it and initials it if its done correctly, and if its not she has to go back and do it again. I know that they do this in the junior and senior high with students with disabilites. I know how you must feel because every night its the same story with her and it gets very trying, we also threatened to take away activities and it didn't seem to matter to her that she missed practices and games. (We finally had her quit.) Don't give up and if you need someone to talk to email me. Good Luck and God Bless.
