: : : My 15 year old son has been on Ritalin and other medications since he was five years old. We are already having problems this school year so the doctor has once again added a medication called Risperdal to take in conjunction with Ritalin. If anyone else has taken this medication or knows of anyone who has taken it for ADHD I would appreciate any information.
: : : thanks

: : My son is on Adderal. His neurologist has just recommended we add Resperdal to minimize impulsiveness. I am also seeking information. Have you tried it?
: Ive been on resperdal, Female,18, it tricked my body into trigering things that happen to women when their pregnate, milk, swollen feet, bloating , heatflashes, but this is "RARE".

My 8 year old daughter has been on Resperdal for 1 month now. It has made such a difference in her and our lives. She has ADHD, OCD and may have bipolar disorder. She was unable to do any of her work at school and was failing every subject in 3rd grade (her IQ is in the 120's.) Since she has been taking Resperdal and Adderal she her teacher has told me that she "aces" everything. She has even started making a couple of friends where before she was looked upon by the other kids as a "wierd kid". However the school refuses to give the Risperdal at school since there has been no studies with children. She has not shown any of the side effects I have read about. Can anyone help out with the school not giving the medicine that she needs?
