hi sue, don't have any great words of wisdom today, just wondering what your PT is saying about your progress. you mention 10 visits, is that just one a week? maybe you are not seeing pt often enough. mine was 3X a week for 12 weeks. tell me a bit more about your progress, or lack of. did you say you have not gotten any new exercises added? email me if you want, and we can talk more. i always check my email, but don't always have time to check the board. one more thing, i always sleep on my side with a small pillow between my knees to keep the hip are in alignement. never did before this, but i do notice that i can't sleep any other way now, & really notice a difference if i don't use the pillow. we went to a huge flea market tuesday & i walked for about 4 hours and that is what gives me the most trouble. extended walking gets my knee area & thigh hurting, nothing like before therapy, but just enough to tell me to take it easy. the walking is still my biggest problem. also, i have the same butt stretch as you & rick talked about. it is a great one, sure relieves the lower back pain. the only problem i have had understanding with your PT is that he had you doing strengthening exercises before you were out of pain. mine didn't start them til they had the pain under control. i'm sure yours has their reasons, but like i told you before, keep asking questions, cause the strengthening ones may be what is causing you to continue to have pain. with mine, they had to slow up on them a few times as they were causing me pain & also had to adjust some of them, so remember to speak up & let them know if any of them cause you pain. take care & keep in touch. lori j
