Yes, I am also taking provigil, but thought it was for a tie in to my sleep apnea. I was prescribed provigil as a help to get me up and going during the day. Otherwise, I couldn't find a recliner fast enough or for a long enough nap!!
Anyway, like Wannadance, I went on a 'medicine strike' and quit taking all of my meds for about a week. Don't do that!!! When I started the Provigil again, the pain subsided. Didn't disappear, but it sure helped.
I hope I am not inappropriate to mention 2 books a kind doctor in our area sent me. 1. Managing Post-Polio and 2.Handbook on the Late Effects of Poliomyelitis.
We had a PPS seminar here about 10-12 years ago and these were handed out to all who attended. They are a great help to me.
I live in Wyoming and there is a good PPS doctor in Billings, Montana they tell me. I have not seen her, but maybe someday. L.
