How did you get hooked up with pain management so quickly?

As you probably have already been told, ESIs are given in a set of three. Very often the first one has little effect.

It does sound, given your previous history, like a disc issue...one that herniated at time of injury that is now pressing on the spinal nerve root.

Has the numbness changed since the injury...like lessening or getting worse?

Do you have to get a referral to see a spine specialist? I’ve almost always been able to call up and make an appointment with getting a referral...but I do know that isn’t always the case.

When it comes to spinal issues, the amount of pain one feels is often NOT a determining factor for treatment!
