Recently had Subtalar fusion

I recently had a Arthroscopic Subtalar fusion on May 7th , Was originally going to be with a bone graft but the surgeon said it didnít need one after all, 2 Nights in hospital , Could have been one night but I had a lot of bleeding through my cast , Doctor decided to leave it on rather then change it and disturb the original sterile dressing! , No more blood loss now , Is this normal after surgery? Pain is not too bad now especially after I was expecting worse when the nerve blocks wore off , What a strange thing the nerve blocks are,? Really strange feeling when you canít move your toes , I was expecting more pain but not too bad so far 5 days onwards. Iíve Got a cast change 2 weeks after surgery then another cast on for possibly another 6 weeks if all has been successful , Counting the days and long nights already, Praying itís gonna help me walk better and without pain.
