    Mild stomach pain

Hi all, my husband has been having mild abdominal pain. It is usually in the morning and feels better after a BM, and when he eats and is better throughout the day as he is active. I originally thought it was an ulcer, however he has tested negative for H. pylori. I still feel his symptoms coincide with an ulcer. It is mainly from his sternum to belly button. Family Dr. labels it as reflux/GERD, but he has no heartburn or bubble feelings like that. He had this about a year and a half ago and they did CAT scans and bloodwork and did not find anything. So I treated him naturally with aloe vera juice, diet, and he took Nexium for two weeks, and it has not bothered him until now. Dr. wants to do an endoscopy but I am gearing towards seeing a G.I. specialist first. Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Otherwise he is very healthy active man, 54.
    TIA

Have him take Nexium and see if it improves.

Never hurts to see a G.I.

I have seen a GI doc for years and he is the one who does my scopes. I think seeing one is a good idea. If it is after the scope, they can help you interpret the results.

It is possible to have acid reflux without the heartburn feeling. You can try researching 'silent' reflux.

I have found my acid reflux and IBS flares go hand in hand. My GI doc works with me to help me figure things out.

So can silent reflux cause stomach pain? Getting upper abdominal/stomach pain. Taking ranatadine four times a day but not helping that. Mild heartburn but nothing that bad. Stomach fullness is my other main symptom.
