Acid worse during that "time of the month"

For women out there who have acid reflux and heartburn related problems do your symptoms get worse during your time of the month?
I have a constant burning raw feeling in my stomach, it centers around my belly button, sometimes dairy helps ease the burn but sometimes it makes it much worse.
If I take a cool drink of water or something cold, anything cold to drink eases the burn only for a few seconds. Hot tea does the same, it soothes it just for a few minutes then the burn is back.
Like I said it is low in my stomach, too low, my gastroenterologist says to be GERD or acid reflux but he can't explain what is causing it.
I take Mylanta or Gavison liquids and sometimes it helps. I don't have insurance so I can't go to the doctor again. Probably not for a while because it is sooo expensive, the doctors office visits and the any testing they want to do and prescriptions. AHHH!
I've had a swallowing problem for about 2 years now and can't eat solid food, it gets stuck.
All of these problems, especially the burning stomach gets worse during my time of the month.
Does any woman know what I mean, does anyone feel this way too.
Why would my stomach burn down this low and get worse during this time.
Is it not acid at all but something wrong with my insides. Does this sound like an ulcer or anything like that maybe?
I'm so scared and sick of being sick. Like I said it is going on 3 years.
I have lost a tremendous amount of weight and I am very limited on what I can eat since solids get stuck but I want to gain weight back very badly.

Yes, totally...a few weeks back another person posted something similar. That time of the month is so much worse for breathing is worse, the lump in my throat is worse... I think it's partially due to my stomach being more grumbly during that time. I also have more gas and you know what else (as I am looking at the Imodium AD advert on this page) ha.
I think your digestion is always worse during your periods.

Re: Acid worse during that "time of the month"

Last night we were out shopping and I think the burning in my stomach was worse that it has ever been and I was very bloated and nauseated feeling.
I don't mean to be gross but the burning became really intense and then I had a major leak. I mean a lot came out at once if you know what I mean.
Then the burning in my stomach sort of subsided a bit.
This was weird.

Re: Acid worse during that "time of the month"

Sorry, also I'd like to add that the burning in my stomach and the nausea increase when I eat.
It doesn't matter what I eat or drink it makes it worse.
I would think putting something in my stomach would ease the burn.
I've tried just plain bland foods, sipping on water even makes the burn worse.
What is this from?
