Yogurt and GERD: Please discuss

I was having a conversation with another board member, and I was told that yogurt is no good for GERD. What do you think?

I know that too much dairy is not good for GERD, but I read that yogurt is a food that can be eaten with discretion while on a GERD diet.

What have been your experiences? Does yogurt make your symptoms worse?

Re: Yogurt and GERD: Please discuss

After being on Nexium for about 3 months, I could eat yogurt without any problems. I recently had to switch to Prilosec without a smooth transition. I tried to ween myself off but that lasted about 2 1/2 days. because I went without the medication for a couple of days I feel like I am back to square one (was on Nexium for 5 years). I tried to eat yogurt yesterday and got bad that said...I figure it will be a couple of months before I can eat yogurt again without acid
