Watermelon and GERD

Being that watermelon is 98% water ... I have a question. Is this food safe for the GERD diet and, if so, how much of it can I eat?

Re: Watermelon and GERD

Watermellon and Gerd.
This is my first day on this site. I am a long time patient with GERD. I have learned what ever you eat if you eat to much it will have a possibility of a "spell" as I call it. It is most uncomfortable. So take it easy on all foods till you see if it that food is not working for your body and health problems. I love Watermellon but because all mellons ripen from a type of yeast I watch it with Cantelope and Watermellon. Because I have been on the Eat Right for your blood type diet for several years I miss it because I am not supose to eat it. but I have found a small amount is okay but I use to eat a whole cantalope for luncy... Gerd problems often. So I watch Watermelon too. Good luck and Good health.
