Yes it could be a symptom of Gerd and also an Ulcer can cause similar symptoms.
Have you seen a Dr if not you should to see what is causing this pain,

Yes I have seen a doctor and I'm having blood tests and a screening tomorrow. Hope to find out what is wrong as the tiredness is preventing me from working at the moment. Ive always been active and healthy.

Just to let everyone know my bloods came back pretty much normal had borderline high iron levels but that was all. Also doc reckons I might have IBS

I found diet/watching what I eat helps the most. My IBS is loose bowel, it can cause both constipation and/or loose bowel.

Currently im on omeprazole. Just 1 a day. I mainly have soft stools which I pass once a day usually early in the morning. And I still have a odd upper abdominal pain which I cant figure out where it comes from. Also loss off appetite but that's come back abit now

Why did the dr reckon you have ibs did you have any tests done other than bloodwork

Ive not had any other tests as of yet but didnt have a good night last night. Hardly slept and abdominal pains while lying down as well as getting up 3 times in the night to urinate

Sorry you had a bad night.
Make sure you don't lie too flat at night, I have two real plump pillows. If it's reflux you need to be elevated in bed.
Another thing that I thought of and you get pain with that was H.Pylori. I had that two years ago.
Your Dr might be trying you on a PPI to see how things work out but if there is no improvement I think he will refer you for an Endoscopy/Colonoscopy, that's how they operate where I live.
Generally one is prescribed a PPI for 4-6 weeks and if no better you are sent for the E/C procedure.

Thank you I shall see how I get on. My biggest problem is eating enough to satisfy my stomach. Im constantly hungry but cant eat much at the moment. Its been like that for weeks. And im back to work tomorrow which worries me as I dont have alot of energy
