Question How to get rid of the red

Hey all,

I put some lemon juice on my face last night, and while it did get rid of some of my acne, it also left me with some red marks. Is there any inexpensive and fast methods I could use in order to get rid of the red marks. I have to go to work in a few hours, and I think I might be calling in sick if I don't get rid of the red marks soon.

when i get too red, i lay off any other products, etc, and don't use soap or anything. Just rinse with cold water, and let your face simmer down. How strong was the lemon juice? Did you use it straight up? If you did, it might be a good idea to water it down.

Once or twice i used Visine on a red mark, and it helped, but i don't think it's a good idea to do that all the time, just as a quick fix.

Remember to only have the lemon juice on your face for 15 minutes then wash it off. I used to put it on 15 minutes before I took a shower and it worked well.

Good luck!

hi nadnad when my face gets red or marks I use aloe vera 100% gel or buy the aloe vera juice wich is more natural then the gel and I put it on my face and that usually takes care of the red and also fades marks.

How is the juice more natural than the gel? You can buy 100% natural gel and the juice isnt 100% Aloe Vera. The most you can get is 99.9%, they have to keep a preservative or something in it.

I used to have problem with the red times, but one day I went to a cosmotologist and she told me that if you add a little green color to your face it will take away the red. You can buy it in the stores, its in a little bottle and its liquid almost like foundation except it is green. It takes the red away on contact! Just make sure you use it sparingly otherwise being red will be the least of your worries!!
Hope this helps!

I think that the juice is better because it comes from the outside of the plant, which has more vitamins. THe gel is watered down.

I just started using the 100% Aloe Vera Gel that I bought at Wal-Mart. It's called Fruit of the Earth (or something like that). It really helped get rid of generalized redness. I apply it at night and before putting on makeup.
