Azelaic acid and BP together?

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience of using azelaic acid and BP together? If so do you use one in the morning and one at night or is it ok to use them both twice a day at the same time? I seem to have a combination of those tiny skin colored bumps (seems like hundreds of them) and at any time about 12 mother-sized red pimples. Any advice or experiences shared would be much appreciated!

I think the New Zealand Standard of Care or whatever the name is recommends that combination. I use 20% azelaic acid cream morning and night, and use 2.5% BP at night on top of the azelaic acid. Works pretty well - I used to have 4-5 active zits at any one time, and now it's down to 1-2, and I've only used it for 2 months.

Thanks for the reply. Sounds like you are having some success with that combination! I think i might try adding BP to my regime at night like yourself. Do you get a lot of irritation from using both together?? I don't get much irritation from using either separately but am concerned about using too much - i guess i'll try it for a couple of weeks and see. Thanks again!
