    Retin-A (+ doxycycline & ortho-tricyclen)

    Hi everyone...

A little background on me: I'm 24 with moderate acne and have been on ortho-tricyclen, Doxycycline, and Retin-A 0.025% cream for about 5 and a half weeks now. My face has gotten slightly better, and I'm hoping within the coming month or two, my face will clear up a lot more

Anyways....my question is: i've got super-flaky dry skin and was wondering if it would be safe to gently exfoliate my skin with a damp washcloth when I'm washing my face (I use cetaphil cleanser). I wasn't sure if this would be beneficial to get rid of the flakies, or whether it would harm my somewhat sensitive skin. Any help would be much appreciated. Also, if anyone has any experience with the meds I'm taking, I would love to hear how things went! Thanks guys

    Re: Retin-A

You could try to gently exfoliate your skin, but just make sure to use moisturize at all times. It should be fine, but if it gets to dry and irritated then you should obviously stop.
