what do you do after pricking...

    hi,

what do you usually do after pricking a pimple that is ready to be popped and bleeds?

cause whenever i pop the pimple that is ready to be popped, it always bleed and i dont know what im going to do to remove all the blood except for squeezing it further, cause whenever im finished squeezing out all the blood, it always leave a huge red mark that is like days to dissapear, so i dont want this to happen again. (i dont know why but i think i squeeze it too hard?)

so my other question would be, should i remove all the blood? and how?
and what product should i use if i want to just stop the bleeding? do you do this?

    thanks.

After something pops and it bleeds, I just let it bleed naturally and stop squeezing...I just let it drain naturally and dab it with a tissue until it ceases...It might take a few minutes, but eh, I don't mind (sometimes, unless I'm in a rush to leave!). lol

Unfortunately, no matter what you do a pimple is going to leave a red mark (it has to heal), but there are things you can do to minimize that time. First off you should never force a pimple, only pop it if itís about to pop on its own. Also, when it does pop, wash off the bacteria and any blood (you should also use some sort of cleanser to wash the area so the bacteria doesnít spread), and just leave it alone. You shouldnít try to squeeze out the blood. Thatís not whatís causing the red mark. Any time you have to squeeze a pimple hard, that means that the pimple is not ready to be popped.

No the bacteria that comes out causes the acne, if it goes into other pores. If the blood has some of the bacteria mixed in (which is common), then that could also cause acne.

yes I believe this is true because it always seems like my zits come in clusters close to each other. or atleast lately it has been like that. I make sure now to was it after I pop it and keep a small tissue in my hand to soak up what seeps out but I dont wipe it. dont wipe it cause that will spread that bacteria

Also...despite that you really shouldn't be popping them haha...they're easier to pop if you get a wash cloth and run it under some very very warm/hot water and hold it over the pimple for a bit. I usually will use that washcloth to clean away the mess afterwards, not sure if it's actually better than a plain old tissue but I feel it cleans up the area more and I never get pimples in clusters.

    thanks.

so thats why i get new pimples exactly beside the pimples i popped, cause i didn't wipe off the blood right away, i just pop my other pimples before i clean the mess.

ok how bout this, cut a tissue into small size then fold it so its a little bit thick, and fold it just the size of your pimple. so after popping it, just wipe off the blood then put the folded tissue on your popped pimple. then leave it on overnight. so it wont make more mess.

    what do you think?

i use 2 cotton buds to pop my pimple. i make it bleed using the cotton buds. when blood does not come out anymore, i apply an antibacterial like fucidin, iodine, or erythromycin.
the mark is inevitable. but at least after popping it become less annoying.

ok pickin pimples is disgusting, your face ends up looking a bloody mess with tons of scabs, not to mention the nice after effects you'll get or reminders called scars. If you can't stand them that much go to a derm and have them pop the pimples at least they might know a way that won't leave scars.

Use a q-tip in hydrogen peroxide and dab it on the wound, it will kill the bacteria and make the spot less red
