I'm starting to think that I may have an internal yeast infection. I started on the tetracycline family in November of 2001 until a little more than a year ago. Then I started bactrim, another antibiotic, with another derm. I'm sure you guys would agree that having an internal yeast infection is quite possible. I have tons of tiny closed comedones that will not go away no matter what I use!!!

Re: How to tell: Hormonal Acne

    hello,
im going to see an endocrinologist next week (im a 31 yr old male w/ acne on my scalp body and face).
SweetJade, I was wondering if you could tell me exactly what tests and what hormones to check, as I go into this appointment assuming that the dr. will not have a clue and tell me im crazy (which has been my previous experience with most drs. I speak to about acne).
many thanx for all your great feedback,
    michael

do you all think it would be best after my accutane cycle is done to go check out my hormone levels? do you have to be referred to an endo. from your pcp through insurance? thanks everyone.
