minocycline causes aging, stop taking now

i have been on mino four months. and some threads other ppl wrote got me thinking. since i have been on this stuff, my face has dried out i got laugh lines *im 24* and smiley eye lines, and now i got about 100 plus freckels and i never had before. the mino makes you more suspetible to sun damage, hence aging. aslo i read articles how dry skin causes loss of elastin and saggy skin and aging. well i used to have oily firm skin and now since i been taking this i got saggy laugh lines and soooo dry skiin everything burns it. even if i wear sunscreen i get freckles.. grrrr i hope they go away. im stopping today. that and in combo with what others here have told me about it

I think the "freckles" are brown spots that are formed by the mino because it's becoming so absorbed in your body. I think 4 months on it is too long. I'm currently on it right now and it's been 1 month for me. I seriously want to get off it, but I'm scared my acne will return. It's been the first time in months since my skin has been this smooth but I'm not sure if the temporary results are worth the long term effects.

yeah four months is long. my derm wanted me to do it for a year tho. i am stopping right now. i wish my skin was oily,. myabe it woudlnt have aged so much. if i could go back i cant say i would or woudlnt do it but i am defintlye ready to get off it now. i think its just dried up my skin but the clogs are waiting to come out. i think that is why it gets worse for people. the clogs are so hard and wedged in now, where as before they woulda surfaced as zits by now. blah

I took this stuff for a year, and none of those things happened to me. Are you certain it is the mino causing it.
My face was just as oily before as after. I only wish mino would have helped my oily skin, I had to use accutane for that.

Anyways, all I am saying is this isn't the case for anyone. I've been off for over a year, and I didn't and still don't suffer any side effects.
