    Yes, I have.
    1) cut down on crappy, sugar laden processed food
    2) use glycolic acid creams
    3) ALWAYS moisturize (oil free of course) with a simple moisturizer like Purpose
    4) wash with simple cleanser like Basis
    5) NEVER sleep in makeup (esp foundation)
    6) Use oil free foundation
    7) avoid drying products like alcohol/toners etc. They just dry out skin and then cause MORE oil to ooze out of pores.

my oil production has slowed way down since I started using jojoba oil as a moisturizer at night. My skin is much better now.

I completely agree with the previous 2 posts. Especially the glycolic acid.. Really helps with my oily skin and acne.

i have what i refered to as, extremely oily skin. I would wash my face and within half an hour, it would be oily again. The thing that is currently helping slow down oil production for me right now is Diane-35 (birth control pill). My skin isn't oily at all.

In the past i purchased something called 'Clinac O.C.' which is an oil control gel. It is suppose to help reduce the amount of oil that your skin produces. I found that it helped for a couple of hours, but then my skin would get oily once again. I think that if you're oily skin isn't that bad, this may help. Ask your derm for a sample, mine gave me some to try when i complained about my oily skin.

I cured mine with low dose of accutane.
    Nothing else worked for me.

I have been using proactive without the bp creme (not sure of the name of it) and also using jojoba oil as a moisturizer at night.

cinderella16 my skin is just how you described yours and I have tried Clinac OC and OC Eight as well. I'm currently taking boswellia-- I really only notice the difference at night (not VERY shiny when I wake up). I'm hoping my new derm will give me very low dose accutane...
