How long to use Azelaic Acid/Retin A?!

It says on the Skinoren(azelaic acid) leaflet that you must not use it for more than 6 months?? Is it really bad for your skin in the long run??? And what about Retin A? It doesn't say anything about how long you're allowed to use it.
Azelaic Acid has been helping me...so im meant to stop using it in 6 months?! Won't the acne just come back?? :-(

Hey,there! I'm on the Azelaic acid and I've never heard that before! I have acne rosacea and it has really helped clear up the small bumps under my skin. (I think they're clogged pores.) I use Finacea Gel, 15% with no problems, once a day. I've been on it for about 9 months! I also use Retin-a Micro every night. I've been using that for over a year!!! I wonder why whoever said we shouldn't use it long term??? Weird. Write back if you ever figure that one out! Thanks!

It says so on the leaflet (not the Retin A one, but the azelaic acid one!) and on several websites (official health ones) about azelaic acid...hmmm.
And apparently, long term use of Retin A thins your skin, causing wrinkles. The thing is, I thought it's meant to be -good- for wrinkles??

I thought long term use of retin-a decreased wrinkles.
