Azelaic acid
I am currently using retin a micro .04% and finacea azelaic acid. I love them together. Azelaic acid is pretty new and uncommon, I do not know why though. It is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, keeps pores open. And the bacteria does not become resistant, and it only kills bacteria like P. Acnes, not all the bacteria. It is also good at killing demodex mites, and is used for rosacea often. It says it should not be used more than 6 months at a time, and I was wondering why? I know it lightens the skin sometimes, maybe that is why?
